Spring is in the air… and in my makeup bag. I’m slowly but surely breaking out new products that fit into a small window of time for me to primp before I leave for work. Right now I’m all about blush, bronzer and a dewy complexion. While my stash is somewhat small, here’s a quick list of my spring beauty picks in this moment.
Hollywood Beauty: LORAC Eyeshadow Palettes
I’ll be honest—I don’t think I’ve ever tested LORAC eyeshadow palettes in my lifetime, but when they recently sent me a sample of their Unzipped Beauty palette, I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to blend these shadows—barely any fallout at all! And I love the laid back, California girl aesthetic. Now I know why so many makeup junkies love this brand.
Anyways, if you’re a devout LORAC fan or looking for just a crazy good beauty deal, then you’ve come to the right place. LORAC will be live on HSN tomorrow, February 22nd, offering 24-hours of shop-able Hollywood beauty must-haves aka the prettiest LORAC eyeshadow palettes.

Caitlyn Jenner x MAC Cosmetics
I have to admit it – I am a complete sucker for MAC’s splashy collaborations with celebs and influencers. I love every single thing about them – the snazzy packaging, the bold colors, the collaborators themselves! I bought (twice, actually) Iris Apfel’s entire collection in 2011. I still use Rihanna’s RiRi Woo lipstick and blush/bronzer duo. And don’t get me started on how I live for Carine Roitfeld’s vampy, smudgy eye palette. So when MAC announced a new collection with Caitlyn Jenner, I knew I had to give it a whirl.
Her 15-piece set includes products for lips, eyes and cheeks. I’m super into the plum eyeshadow, Worthy, which I use as eyeliner because I think black for everyday can look harsh. I apply it with my Nars angled eyeliner brush (it’s the best I’ve found) so that the line is thin and looks natural. I’ve also been using the Teddy kohl eyeliner in bronze for the weekends, which I draw on my upper eyelid and then smudge lightly with my pinky. I love a smudgy look for winter.
Compassion, the bronzer, is densely pigmented, so be sure to use a light hand and build color. The lip glosses are natural pinks that are complimentary to most skin tones, but I’m not really one for sticky lips.
The simple, clean packaging also speaks straight to Caitlyn Jenner, her personality and the type of woman she aspires to be – classy, sophisticated and serious.

In My Makeup Bag: Marc Jacobs Air Blush Soft Glow Duo
Blush has not been part of my makeup routine for quite some time. I was more interested in looking like a freshly glazed donut à la Glossier, using a cream highlighter and bronzer. But when temperatures turn cold, my complexion starts to look ghostly. I was overdue for a bright, pick-me-up.
At first glance Marc Jacobs Air Blush looks heavy in pigment but I’m so glad I gave it a try. This blush is probably one of the few that looks flattering yet natural-looking. More importantly, I look awake when I’m wearing this blush (because there’s nothing worse than looking tired and pale at my 9-to-5).

Everyday Neutral Eyeshadow Palette
I’ll be the first to admit that I suck at doing my own eye makeup—specifically eyeshadow. I literally have to watch the same YouTube tutorial 15 times before I really feel comfortable and know what I’m doing. I always find myself overwhelmed by an eyeshadow palette with more than four colors. I say it all the time—I’m a beauty product junkie and I love trying new looks but I am no professional makeup artist. If you can relate and in need of an effortless look without relying on a bunch of tools or colors, then you’ll love Benefit They’re Real! Big Sexy Eye Kit. There’s no need to try and play matchmaker between crease and shadow colors, worry about having an assortment of eye makeup brushes, and absolutely no application fuss. While I’ve always thought Benefit has the most creative and fun packaging, I’m not in love with this packaging. The boxy metal kit is a little inconvenient for girls on the go but totally worth keeping on your vanity at home for effortless eyeshadow looks.
Here’s what you get: three easy 1-step eyeshadow duos in beyond nude, naughty neutral and bombshell brown and one amazing ShadowBlender applicator.
Here’s how easy it is: Slide the custom ShadowBlender across the eyeshadow pan. Sweep the blender across your eyelid and bam! You look pretty now.
