My fall makeup routine has been pretty very low maintenance, but now that cooler weather has started to trickle in, that may change. If there’s one thing that has been consistent about my makeup routine, it’s my love for any product that gives me dewy, glowy skin. If it helps illuminate—sign me up! Read on to know more about my fall makeup routine and go-to products.
Eyes:
I’ve been using Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Linen for years. It easily conceals veins and discoloration on my lids—which is perfect for days when I don’t feel like wearing shadow.
When I do want some color on my lids, I’ve been using bareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 in The Instant Attraction. This palette has four pretty neutral shades in matte and shimmery finishes. When combined, it looks like a mini sunset on my lids.
You may have seen last week I dished on four tubes of mascara in rotation but when it comes to my makeup routine for work I’m always reaching for They’re Real Mascara to help lift and separate. And when I’ve got perky long lashes, I skip the liner.
Face:
I’ve been using BareMinerals Complexion Rescue religiously for a dewy complexion. It’s like a cross between BB cream and foundation—it gives me just enough coverage without the heaviness.
I don’t think I’ll ever find an under eye cover-up like Glossier Stretch Concealer. Glossier boasts a formula that allows the concealer to move with your skin rather than cake or crease. I thought I would give it a try and now I’m hooked! I dab a little under each eye and continue blending with my BeautyBlender.
I’ve been on a mission to look like a freshly glazed donut so naturally, I spend a few minutes applying Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight. There are so many areas you can apply highlighter to accentuate your best features—personally, I use it on my cupid’s bow, below my brow and on my cheekbones.
I recently was introduced to ILIA beauty and this multi-stick in Tenderly gives my cheeks that perfectly flushed look. Looks like I need to try more of their products! And my routine is not complete without The Body Shop Honey Bronzing Powder. This all-over matte bronzer gives my pale complexion a much-needed boost of color.
Lips:
My lip wardrobe has been minimalistic. Heck—there is no wardrobe. I’ve been wearing Glossier Generation G Lipstick in “like” practically every day. It feels like a balm but has the pigment of a lipstick. I love it!

Tell me about your fall makeup routine in the comments!
Your makeup routine sounds fabulous. For me, I start off by cleansing with Clean and Clear’s Morning Burst, then use Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir as a toner. Then, I moisturize with Dr. Hauschka’s Quince Day Cream. I follow by using Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer in Bisque as a foundation. I normally use Too Faced’s Natural Eyes Matte Palette, and apply the classic look for my everyday look. I finish off the look with Marc Jacob’s eyeliner in black, and Lancome CILS booster XL mascara primer and Definicils mascara in black. I then contour with a bit of Benefit’s Hoola bronzer (just on the cheekbones - I can’t pull off the heavily contoured look). I highlight my whole face with Too Faced’s Candlelight Glow duo. Finally, I usually apply either Nar’s Dolce Vita matte lip pencil or Kat Von D’s Everlasting Lipstick in Lolita.

Wow! What a routine. I’ve heard good things about Lancome CILS booster XL primer. Is the Marc Jacobs liner liquid or pencil? Thanks for sharing your beauty routine with me!
It’s actually a retractable pencil. It is amazing - so pricey though! I’m also currently having an Urban Decay giveaway - you should come check it out! 🙂
