I’ve super picky about the texture of my night cream. If it’s too heavy, I break out and if it’s too light, my complexion dries up quickly. I guess you can call me Goldilocks, because I found one nighttime cream that is justtt right.
I’ve been using Pixi Beauty Sleep Cream religiously. I mean, this brand is killing it in the affordable skincare department, if you missed my recent post. This fast-absorbing nighttime essential smells of sweet mango butter, lavender, lemon and bergamot, thus probably the reason why I’m so quick to fall asleep lately. Pixi Beauty Sleep Cream is the perfect balance—it feels incredibly soft and moisturizing, but not smothering—it melts into my skin and that faint smell of lavender oil is instantly calming.
Which brings me to another nighttime favorite, my pineapple sleep mask. Long gone are the days of counting sheep!
Anyways, if you’re in the market for an easy and affordable one-step night cream, you can purchase the product here for just under $25.
I’ve always had a fascination with French women. Not only are they stylish, but they sport cute handbags and can eat copious amounts of croissants with no guilt whatsoever. They also happen to have amazing skin. What’s their secret? No, seriously, if you know the answer, please let me know. Because I’m just your typical American beauty blogger who daydreams about living the Parisian lifestyle. I mean, did you see my bridal shower theme on Style Me Pretty?
Anyways, I was recently gifted with a handful of Darphin Paris skin products. This isn’t the first time I’ve tried their products, but if you’re not familiar with the brand, Darphin is crafted and developed in France using botanical and plant based ingredients. A little bit of science + plant-based ingredients = luxe, beautifully packaged skincare.
Darphin Paris sent me four different products to try and review: Hydraskin Rich, a daily moisturizer, Organic Rose Aromatic Care, an essential oil elixir designed to brighten and soothe skin, Intral Redness Relief Soothing Serum, a cult classic that soothes skin, and their Eye Sorbet Mask (one of my favorite products that I’ve written about before on the blog).
If you have year-round dry skin, nothing feels quite as nice as slathering on Hydraskin all over your face, like your skin just took a big gulp of water. It also has a light floral scent (I’d like to think it’s the natural shea and mango butters) so I covet this moisturizer even more. I’ve also been a long-time fan of the Darphin Paris Eye Sorbet Mask—I apply it in the morning and glides on so smooth while it works its magic to turn back time.
The INTRAL Redness Relief Soothing Serum is new to my skin routine (but apparently a long-time cult classic). This high-potency serum really has worked wonders to calm my complexion when my skin is irritated (after I take a shower or come back from the gym, when I’m stressed or when I’m outside for long periods of time). It’s infused with chamomile and peony extract, not to mention, it looks pretty in pink. I’ve been applying this on occasion at night before Hydrarich and I love the dewy glow I get when paired together.
Rose Aromatic Care is used at night on the face and neck to help hydrate, soften, smooth, and protect skin against free radical damage. I’m a believer that it works but I’m not a fan of the scent—I couldn’t detect any rose essence. It could be different for others but if the scent was more appealing, I think I would be more inclined to use it.

Yesterday while everyone was celebrating Cinco de Mayo, I was celebrating Greek Easter aka Gre-easter aka Cinco de Greek Easter, etc. I’m sure most people are reminded of My Big Fat Greek Wedding when they try and imagine my family dynamic, and while I’d like to say it’s nothing like that, in all actuality, it’s pretty close. (Yes, we eat lamb on Easter and I have cousins with the names, Nick, Gus and Chris.) So it’s only fitting that today’s post pay homage to my heritage with a recent skincare discovery, Korres Greek Yoghurt Moisturizing Face Cream.
This daily moisturizing cream is formulated with full-fat Greek yogurt to help sooth and nourish dry skin. If you’re obsessed with Greek yogurt (the food), you’ll love this daily moisturizer, packed with a natural source of proteins, vitamins and minerals (think olive oil concentrate and macadamia nuts). (And you thought Windex was only solution to skin issues…)
I tend to have dry skin in my t-zone area so I’m constantly on the hunt for moisturizers that aren’t too goopy and won’t clog my pores. The consistency of this cream is a little on the runny side (which is weird to me since Greek yogurt is typically pretty thick), but I love how smooth and silky my skin feels after just a small amount that I can wear alone or under makeup. If you suffer from dry skin (or maybe the high and low temperatures is messing with you skin), just a thin layer of this moisturizer will refresh and hydrate your face. Opa!
