Fall Sneak Peek: Estee Lauder Metallics Pure Color Collection
The latest fall collection to arrive on my doorstep: Estee Lauder Metallics Pure Color Collection. The new collection boasts versatile metallic sultry shades for eyes, lips and nails. The Instant Intense Eyshadow Trios have a liquid-like texture that melts onto eyelids for hi-def look. The Pure Color High Intesity Lip Lacquers comes in a variety of shades, from sultry nudes to daring wines (hello vampy lip!). The glosses aren’t too sticky and gives you a polished glass-like finish. My personal favorite from the collection? I’m obsessed with the limited edition Pure Color Nail Lacquer. Their bottles are like gold to me. Metallic digits work on all skin tones and will look good with any fall look. A fusion of refined pearls and aluminum platelets, these color-enriched shades from dusty rode gold to smokey deep platinum definitely create some dimension for your digits. I’ll take ten!
Will any of these products make your fall beauty wish list?

My Summer Makeup Routine
While I personally love cataloging Washingtonians and their beauty routines, I’ve always envied the fact that their routine is… well, a routine. My makeup changes on a weekly basis (in fact, sometimes daily) but that’s the life of a beauty blogger. I’m sure Lara, Laurie and Lindsay would agree. I may hoard beauty products like it’s my full-time job but the products I sample and fall in love with are always incorporated in to my daily beauty routine. How to Wear a Coral Lip
Why is it every summer I only want to wear coral? Between coral tops and dresses, jewelry and wedges, I can’t get enough of this tropical hue, and now all I want to do is wear it on my lips (of course).
I read online that an absurd amount of women love a coral lip, but most them voted that they didn’t think they could ever pull it off and/or they don’t know how to wear a coral lip. If you’re that girl, you have come to the right place.
If you don’t own a coral lip product, head to your closest makeup counter or drugstore and find a shade that fits your skin tone. Blue-based coral hues are universally flattering on all skin tones, not to mention can translate from work to date night. If you are slightly terrified of puckering up to any coral tinted pout, start with a sheer lip gloss or tinted balm.
Here are three tips on how to wear a coral lip:
Use a lip primer and lip liner. Coral is such a bright lipstick shade so applying lip primer will prevent excess color from bleeding outside the lines. If you have naturally flushed lips and you want to get the true pigment out of the lip color, mute it with a nude lip liner or a dab of foundation. Below, I’m using BareMinerals “Marvelous Moxie” Lip Liner in Liberated.
