Call me obsessed, but I love First Aid Beauty’s new Hello Fab collection—fusing skincare with makeup to produce four new fuss-free products. Inspired by athleisure, each product is packed with nourishing superfoods so you can enhance the appearance of your skin over time. Usually I can easily classify if a product is makeup or skincare but even as I type this I’m struggling to categorize this Hello FAB collection…
In Search of The Perfect Face Primer
You guys, I’m feeling perplexed. Is it worth it to splurge on a $44 face primer?
I recently tried a sample of Hourglass Ambient Light Correcting Primer in Mood Light. The formula is super sheer and smoothes away for an even base before applying tinted moisturizer or foundation… but I can’t seem to justify the $44 price point. That seems absurd right?
I thought this would be a great opportunity to poll readers and get your thoughts on a reasonably priced, yet effective formula. I’ve only tried a handful of makeup primers and not even one landed a permanent spot in my makeup bag. My co-workers rave about Smashbox Photo Finish primers but I don’t recall ever trying that brand. I’m really on the hunt for a complexion perfector—one that blurs imperfections, helps minimize pores and lends to a dewy finish (bonus points if it can be used alone).
