Don’t think of luxury as expensive—it’s a state of mind, or at least I like to think so. As I sifted through my favorite online beauty emporiums, the items I chose for this luxury beauty gift guide needed to meet a certain set of criteria. Is it extravagant in its own right? Is it something someone can indulge in and enjoy every single time? Consider these gifts upgrades to everyday lifestyle choices. Whether you’re on the hunt for holiday gifts for the special women in your life or perhaps you just want to treat yourself—I’ve put together the ultimate luxury beauty gift guide.
Caudalie Hand Cream Trio ($18): Unlike every other hand cream, this one also helps nourish nails. I always like to stock up on hand cream each season to gift to girl friends and co-workers.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Cream and Sugar Nude Lip Trio ($25): I fell in love with MJ lip products earlier this year and I’m trying very hard not to purchase any gift sets for myself (but this one is tempting!). This is a three-piece mini set of lipstick, liner and lip gloss in their new shade Cream and Sugar, a peachy-rose nude.
Jo Malone Christmas Ornament Duo ($35): This is a duo of Jo Malone London’s most popular scents—spirited Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne and mellow English Pear and Freesia Body Crème.
Fresh Escape to Sugar Lip Set ($37): For the makeup minamalist. The set includes Sugar Rose Tinted Lip, Advanced Therapy, Dream (my favorite dreamy pink) and original with SPF.
Urban Decay Naked Cherry Vault ($49): Believe the hype. I absolutely love using this palette and the shades in this one are gorgeous! In addition to the palette, it also comes with three lipstick shades and two liners ($145 value).
Sephora Ready to Roll Brush Set ($70): A set of cruelty-free brushes conveniently held in a faux leather brush roll. And for $70 this is great deal! My biggest mistake when I became obsessed with makeup was I bought new brushes as I needed them rather than starting with a full set.
Slip Silk Pillowcase ($85-$105): I know, I know, $85 for a pillowcase sounds crazy; however, we spend half of our lives sleeping so we might as well get the best beauty rest. This isn’t just any pillowcase. It’s an anti-aging, anti-bed head pillowcase that feels like an eight-hour beauty treatment. Silk fibers will also lock in your skin’s moisture and those expensive skin and hair products we rely on.
The Beachwaver Rotating Curling Iron ($199): This was also on my wish list (notice a theme here?) but I feel like this is perfect for the girl that’s always on-the-go. A curling iron that rotates for you just seems like a huge time saver.
Simple Human Sensor Mirror ($200): Get this for the person who has everything—because chances are, they don’t have this ultra cool cordless makeup mirror that lights up as your face approaches. Yet another gift I am tempted to purchase for myself. Someone, help!
Dyson Airwrap Styler ($499): A perfect gift idea for the beauty buff that is also technologically savvy. The price is steep, but the reviews on YouTube have been generally positive. I have the Dyson blow dryer and it easily tops my most coveted beauty tools of all time.
