You’d think that since I haven’t been working full-time that I would have plenty of time for a glamorous makeup routine but the reality is this: I rarely leave my house. Being broke and unemployed is difficult. Even on days when I have to run errands I don’t like to bother with an elaborate makeup routine. Let me tell you about my updated five-minute makeup routine.
First and foremost—I never walk out my front door until I’ve applied a moisturizer. I really love my Glossier Priming Moisturizer. My skin feels soft and plump and it looks refreshed.
For that no makeup makeup look (and dewy skin) I like to mix Skin Tint (in the shade light) and L’Oreal Lumi Glotion (in the shade fair). No need for a brush or sponge to apply. I find that my fingertips work best.
I like accentuating my cheekbones and cupid’s bow so I use Glossier Haloscope in Quartz and blend with my fingertips. It has a pretty sheen to it without looking sparkly.
I can only rely a few bronzers for my pale skin and right now Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer in Hoola Lite is doing it for me. I use a sculpting brush from EcoTools to apply to the hollows of my cheeks. Lately I haven’t been wearing blush but if I want a natural boost of color, I’ll apply Laura Mercier Blush in Chai, a matte dusty rose, with a light hand.
Lately I haven’t been wearing eyeshadow but to help prevent oily lids and cover my veins I’ve been using my trusty Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Linen.
While I usually crave long and thick lashes, I’ve been really happy with Lash Slick (can you tell I’m on a Glossier kick?!). When I want uber long lashes I’ll apply three coats.
For my brows, just two coats of Boy Brow instantly tints, shapes and fills them. Best. Purchase. Ever.
Although it was a splurge purchase, I’m really loving my Marc Jacobs Lip Gloss Sticks (a tinted lip balm slash gloss). Sugar Sugar is a beautiful shimmery champagne and One Mauve Time is perfect for this fall weather.
