Here I am, blogging about summer makeup while in the midst of a spring snow… (that groundhog was wrong… he’s lucky he’s cute). Meanwhile, I’m daydreaming about summer weather, music festivals and Stila Cosmetics new Countless Color Pigments.
These formulas are one-of-a-kind as it’s the first-to-market formula that offers handmade vibrant pigments using a unique proprietary pressing and baking process. There really are no rules to each pan packed with a bevy of bright hues. You can use each of the three shades individually or blend each shade for custom colors simply by swirling your brush in a circular motion, or swipe across for a multi-shade streaked effect.
I first tried a pan pigment, applying with my fingers, but call me traditional, I preferred using a brush. Some of the pigments may seem uber bright and not wearable but I actually found ‘Lyric’ to be the perfect pop of pink neon (I actually wore this to the office and truth be told, no one even flinched). I love that these pigments don’t come with a guide. Sometimes, the best kind of eye makeup is the one you create on your own. But, if you’re the type that needs a tutorial, then watch this awesome introduction to the collection featuring Stila Pro Artist, Sarah Lucero.
If you prefer neutrals over color, you’ll love ‘groupie,’ a medley of taupes and shimmery gold that will instantly make eyes glisten. If you’re obsessed with color, then you won’t be able to live without ‘center stage’ or ‘finale.’ And the coolest part these little pigments punch can easily revert back to its original form, simply by sweeping a brush. Seriously, where are you warmer weather???
