In my book, no outfit is complete without a manicure. And now, thanks to one cozy shop in the Bloomingdale neighborhood, I have a new line of lacquers to add to my closet.
Studio 85 is filled with all things art, apparel and accessories. Tammi, Tamika and Tiffany, the stylish and business savvy co-founders (and sisters), reminisced on their childhood memories growing up in Washington for inspiration for the District of Columbia Nail Collection ($4.50-$6).
“We’ve always wanted to design nail polish as we are crazed fans of nail art and paints,” Tiffany said.
For those who love a pop of color, the orange based Mambo Sauce is a must-have. I also love U St., a shimmery asphalt pink. And if you’re feeling political, apply a couple coats of 1600, a true “presidential blue.”
