For the past few months, I’ve been on a serious bright nail polish binge. But for the past week, I’ve been rocking naked nails. Not only do my fingers look elongated but this manicure is super low-maintenance. For a shimmery finish, I love wearing Coco Rae’s beige polish, Naked J (above). If nude nail polish isn’t your thing, try one coat of Deborah Lippmann’s, Turn Back Time (a base coat), and it will instantly make your digits smooth and shiny. This is one neutral, that never goes out of style.
Coco Rae Nail Polish
There’s nothing more exciting than a new line of polishes. And last Friday, I was over the moon as I attended the launch of a new (and local) cosmetics line, Coco Rae Nail Polish. Urban Chic Boutique played host to the launch as bloggers, guests and shoppers enjoyed endless amounts of complimentary polish changes (courtesy of Sassy Nail Salon), champagne and tasty Macaroons (made by local pastry shop Macaroon Bee).
Created by Newport News resident Courtney Vines, these eco-friendly polishes are free of toxic chemicals and are made in the glamorous USA.
I couldn’t resist a mint green manicure, but I indulged in another purchase: “Naked J,” a light pinky beige shade. Basically, bronzer for my nails.
Also spotted with a fab Coco Rae mani: the one and only District Sparkle. I love how her nails bring out the yellow in her tribal fringe top.
