Lately I have been on a serious eyeshadow palette shopping binge. For Christmas, my sister gifted me with the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette (I’m still undecided on whether I like it or love it). To be honest, I’m still trying to wrap my head around why this palette is $52. $52!! Would you ever spend $52 on an eyeshadow palette? I’ve searched for daytime and nighttime tutorials using the palette, watched a bevy of them, but no matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to achieve the look those gorgeous YouTube vloggers are creating. It also doesn’t come with a guide to some example looks, which also kind of pushes my buttons. Plus, the thought of deciding between 12 matte, satin and shimmer shades is overwhelming (especially if you stick to really simple eye makeup routines), so it led me to this round-up for Glitter Guide: pretty (and simple) drugstore eyeshadow palettes for a fraction of the price. The eyeshadows I picked up at Walmart and CVS were actually pretty phenomenal. Most of them didn’t crease (as long as you use the right primer) and they were all easy to blend (just invest in some nice brushes). You can read the full story here. What do you think about the Urban Decay Naked 3? Do you prefer eyeshadow trios and quads? Discuss.
